Did we get it right?
Hearing about the experience you had at the Jessop Wing is very important because it enables us to pass compliments to our staff on your behalf and make improvements if we have not met your expectations.
Friends and Family Test
As part of our commitment to improve standards of care within our maternity services you will be provided with "Friends and Family Test" postcards. These cards enable you to tell us what you think of the service you have received and if you would recommend our service to your friends and family. You will be given a postcard at the following times:
- 35 - 36 weeks of pregnancy
- Immediately following the birth of your baby / babies
- When you leave the post natal ward, if applicable
- When you are discharged from the care of your community midwife. Your comments are very important to us and therefore we would encourage you to complete each "Friends and Family Test" postcard you receive.

Tell us about your care - 2025 Maternity Survey
We will soon be conducting a survey to find out about mothers’ recent experiences of antenatal care, labour and birth, and postnatal care.
This survey is part of a national programme to improve experiences of maternity services.
Your feedback is important to us
Taking part in the survey is voluntary and all answers are confidential. If you are invited to take part, you will be sent a letter with details explaining how to participate.
Your maternity care experience matters
We would love to hear if you had a positive experience or have suggestions of how we can do better. Please take a few minutes to tell us your thoughts or if there are members of the team you would like to thank.
Your views really do help us improve our services.
