Bereavement Care

Our experienced bereavement services team are here to support and care for women and families who suffer the loss of a baby. We provide a caring and compassionate service, offering support and reassurance, information, and guidance.
The team will offer ongoing practical, emotional support and information in the weeks and months following the loss of a baby. This support will guide families through some of the choices, which are required such as registration requirements, information relating to funerals and any tests required.

We are here to help

Working closely with our doctors and nursing colleagues, we will coordinate the completion of all required legal documentation with regards to the registration process, if applicable, and the planning of a funeral. We will also liaise with both the register office, if applicable, and funeral directors to ensure the required documentation is provided in a timely fashion.
We can arrange for you to visit with your baby in the Bereavement Suite after you have been discharged from the hospital. Please contact us to arrange this on 0114 226 8425.
